As of July 1, 2026, Azerbaijan’s strategic foreign exchange reserves are estimated at $85.75 billion.
According to Report, $72.60 billion, or 84.7% of the reserves, is held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, while $13.16 billion, or 15.3%, belongs to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
In the second quarter, the country’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $580.9 million, or 0.7%. At the same time, the foreign exchange reserves of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) decreased by $919.9 million, or 1.3%, while the foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan increased by $1.5 billion, or 12.9%.
Overall, over the year (from July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2026 — ed.), the country’s total foreign exchange reserves increased by $8.08 billion, or 10.4%.
