At its meeting on July 23, the Government of Armenia approved the ratification of a protocol introducing amendments to the agreement between Armenia and Mongolia on exempting holders of diplomatic and service passports from visa requirements.
According to Armenpress, the issue was included in the agenda of the Government of the Republic of Armenia meeting.
The protocol was signed on September 24, 2025, and provides for amendments to the agreement signed on September 28, 2018. The government decided to apply to the Constitutional Court to determine whether the obligations stipulated by the protocol comply with the Constitution.
If the Constitutional Court issues a positive decision, the draft law on ratification will be submitted to the National Assembly. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan has been appointed as the government’s representative in the Constitutional Court.
