Azerbaijan is easing visa procedures for foreigners arriving in the country to attend the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

According to Report, the relevant order was signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Under the document, from August 25 to September 30, foreigners and stateless persons will be able to obtain visas at Azerbaijan”s international airports upon presenting one of the following documents: a Formula One Management or Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) accreditation card, a Baku City Circuit accreditation card, or a race ticket, including an electronic ticket.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to inform international organizations and airlines about the new rules, as well as publish information on the simplified procedure and the possibility of obtaining an e-visa through the ASAN Visa system on its websites and at Azerbaijani diplomatic missions abroad.

The State Migration Service has been tasked with notifying airlines operating flights to Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place in Baku on September 25–27.
