President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the conscription of Azerbaijani citizens for compulsory active military service from October 1 to 30, 2026, as well as the discharge of compulsory active military service personnel into the reserve.

According to Report, under the order, Azerbaijani citizens born in 2008 who have reached the age of 18 by the date of conscription (including that day), as well as those born in 1996–2007 who are under the age of 30, who have not completed compulsory active military service in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and who are not entitled to a deferment or exemption from conscription, will be called up for compulsory active military service from October 1 to 30, 2026.

In addition, compulsory active military service personnel who have completed the period of service stipulated by Article 38.1.1 of the Law on Military Duty and Military Service will be discharged into the reserve from October 1 to 30, 2026.
