The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has amended the “Description of the School Uniform for Students of State General Education Institutions,” approved by Resolution No. 96 dated March 17, 2022.

According to Report, the relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

According to the document, students must not wear clothing items that violate the uniformity of the standard school uniform, or use elements that do not comply with the principle of the secular nature of general education.

At the same time, the use of national costumes or their elements is permitted during events dedicated to the history, culture, and national and spiritual values of the Azerbaijani people, provided that the school’s pedagogical council adopts the relevant decision.

Parents or other legal representatives are required to ensure that their children (or wards) comply with the requirements concerning school uniforms.
