An Organizing Committee has been established for the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

According to Report, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the matter.

Under the decree, Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov has been appointed chairman of the Organizing Committee, while the minister of economy has been named deputy chairman.

The Organizing Committee is comprised of several ministers, chairs of state committees, chiefs of state services, and heads of state-controlled companies.

The committee will oversee the organization of the second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, scheduled to take place on September 25-26 this year. It will also prepare annual action plans related to the forum, coordinate their implementation, and address other necessary organizational matters.

The Ministry of Economy will serve as the secretariat of the Organizing Committee.
