Kazakhstan’s state oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) plans to increase crude oil exports via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline by 31% in 2026 compared with 2025, reaching 1.7 million metric tonnes, Interfax reported.
In the first half of 2026, Kazakhstan shipped 704,000 tonnes of crude through the port of Aktau for onward transportation via the BTC pipeline.
The 1,768-km (1,099-mile) BTC pipeline has an annual capacity of more than 50 million tonnes of crude oil. Its shareholders include SOCAR, BP, MOL, TPAO, Eni, TotalEnergies, Itochu, ONGC Videsh, ExxonMobil and INPEX.
