It is known in what proportion the factions represented in the 9th convocation of Armenia\u2019s National Assembly will head the 12 established standing committees. According to Armenpress, pursuant to Article 138 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the right to nominate candidates for the positions of chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of standing committees belongs to the parliamentary factions.<\/p>\n
Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan noted that the right to nominate candidates for the positions of chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of standing committees is distributed among the factions according to the coefficient obtained for each position, calculated using the D\u2019Hondt method.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result of the calculation using the D\u2019Hondt method, the right to nominate candidates for the positions of chairpersons of the 12 standing committees has been distributed among the factions in the following proportion: eight candidates for committee chairperson positions will be nominated by the Civil Contract faction, three by the Strong Armenia faction, and one by the Armenia faction,\u201d Rubinyan said.<\/p>\n
According to the distribution, candidates for the positions of chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs will be nominated by the Civil Contract faction.<\/p>\n
Candidates for the positions of chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Standing Committee on Health Care will be nominated by the Civil Contract faction.<\/p>\n
Candidates for the positions of chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations will be nominated by the Civil Contract faction.<\/p>\n
Candidates for the positions of chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Diaspora will be nominated by the Civil Contract faction.<\/p>\n
The Strong Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on European Integration, while the Civil Contract faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
The Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Security, while the Strong Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
The Civil Contract faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security, while the Strong Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
The Civil Contract faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, while the Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
The Civil Contract faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration, while the Strong Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
Candidates for the positions of chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Environmental Protection will be nominated by the Civil Contract faction.<\/p>\n
The Civil Contract faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, while the Strong Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
The Strong Armenia faction will nominate a candidate for chairperson of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, while the Civil Contract faction will nominate a candidate for deputy chairperson.<\/p>\n
Candidates for the positions of chairpersons of the standing committees are nominated by the respective factions, while deputy chairpersons of the committees are elected at committee meetings.<\/p>\n
