The traditions of national dress should be passed down from generation to generation.
Zulfiya Nuriyeva, chairwoman of the Public Association for Support of Socio-Economic and Agricultural Development, made the statement to Report during the “Kelaghayi March.”

According to her, Azerbaijan’s national dress traditions — including the kelaghayi, traditional headwear, and national costumes — are an integral part of national identity.
“Young people must preserve these traditions and pass them on to future generations. Our march will pass through the most beautiful parts of the city: starting in Icherisheher, it will extend from the Maiden Tower to Fountain Square,” she noted.
Nuriyeva emphasized that the march would give visitors to the city an opportunity to learn about Azerbaijan’s national dress.
