Nearly 9 hectares of harvested grain fields, dry grass, and shrubland were burned as a result of fires deliberately set in four villages in Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs told Report that the fires occurred in Mashlig village of Jalilabad District, Dyuzgyshlag village of Goranboy District, Yagublu village of Oghuz District, and Gazli village of Ismayilli District.

An investigation established that the fires were allegedly set by residents of the respective districts — F. Zeynalov, A. Aliyev, A. Aghayev, and M. Shukyurov.

Legal measures have been taken against the individuals concerned.
