Rashad Aslanov has been appointed as the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Türkiye. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the corresponding decree.
In this position, Rashad Aslanov replaces Rashad Mammadov, who was appointed head of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
As a reminder, Rashad Mammadov had served as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Türkiye since July 26, 2021. Prior to his current appointment, Rashad Aslanov headed Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission to Italy, Malta, and San Marino.
