{"id":8115,"date":"2026-10-01T17:16:04","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T17:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mpc.ge\/?p=8115"},"modified":"2026-10-01T17:16:04","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T17:16:04","slug":"nato-chief-says-russia-testing-allies-across-europe-failing-to-intimidate-them","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mpc.ge\/en\/nato-chief-says-russia-testing-allies-across-europe-failing-to-intimidate-them\/","title":{"rendered":"NATO chief says Russia testing allies across Europe, failing to intimidate them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said Thursday that Russia is \u201ctesting us across Europe\u201d through airspace violations, arson, sabotage and other hostile actions, but stressed that Moscow is failing to intimidate the alliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see Russia testing us across Europe, airspace violations, arson, sabotage,\u201d Rutte said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten in Munster, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we see no imminent military attack against NATO, we must be prepared for Russia\u2019s campaign of hostile actions against allies to continue. We must all remain vigilant. We must all remain alert,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Rutte accused the Kremlin of seeking to divide NATO allies and pressure them into reducing their support for Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur message is clear: keep calm, carry on, and continue the support for Ukraine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The NATO chief said the alliance has the capabilities to defend \u201cevery inch of allied territory\u201d and remains prepared to respond to threats.<\/p>\n<p>Turning to the war in Ukraine, Rutte said Russian President Vladimir Putin was paying a \u201chuge price\u201d for the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPutin is sending 10s of 1000s of young Russians to their death each month, and for nothing.
