{"id":7646,"date":"2026-09-25T18:49:36","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T18:49:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mpc.ge\/?p=7646"},"modified":"2026-09-25T18:49:36","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T18:49:36","slug":"eu-agrees-to-terms-to-release-7-5b-in-peace-facility-funds-for-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mpc.ge\/en\/eu-agrees-to-terms-to-release-7-5b-in-peace-facility-funds-for-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"EU agrees to terms to release $7.5B in Peace Facility funds for Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EU member states have agreed on the terms for releasing \u20ac6.6 billion ($7.5 billion) in European Peace Facility funds for Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s good news for Ukraine and bad news for Russia,\u201d Kallas said on US social media platform X.<\/p>\n<p>Of the funds, \u20ac900 million ($1 billion) will support the EU Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine, while \u20ac1 billion ($1.2 billion) will fund new joint procurement of military equipment, she said.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining \u20ac4.7 billion ($5.5 billion) will reimburse EU member states, with some countries already saying they will channel their share to Ukraine, according to Kallas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoscow\u2019s hybrid attacks try to intimidate Europe into scaling back its support for Ukraine.
