The consultations were chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Canadian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandre L\u00e9v\u00eaque.<\/p>\n
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current high level of development of bilateral relations between the two countries, noting that these ties received new momentum following the visit to Armenia of a Canadian delegation led by Prime Minister Mark Carney to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. The importance of continuing high-level contacts was emphasized.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to advancing the Armenia\u2013Canada bilateral agenda was discussed, with particular attention given to cooperation within international organizations.<\/p>\n
The sides also highlighted the need to further strengthen political relations through the development of bilateral economic ties and the implementation of investments in areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan also briefed his Canadian counterpart on regional developments and efforts aimed at further consolidating peace established in the South Caucasus.<\/p>\n
